Professional Standards Policy Manager

Strategic decision makers.  That’s who you’ll be working with as a Regulatory Policy Manager.  The whole team covers Change Management, Public Affairs and Public Policy and Professional Standards and Strategy.  And this role holds an important place in this professional team who are passionate about delivering excellence to the business and our members.  They also manage to strike a good work life balance while doing so, and there are many flexible working arrangements in the team (and across the company)


What exactly will you be doing? 

You’ll be working with the Professional Standards and Public Affairs teams to understand the environment which AAT and our members are working in, and helping to identify the key issues that impact on us. You’ll then be working with various internal teams such as Membership, Communications, Web team and others to develop information and tools to support the organisation and its members in meeting regulatory requirements and other challenges. You’ll also be helping to create the processes and systems to ensure AAT collects, and effectively uses, the data necessary for our compliance and reporting obligations.

Requirements

What experience would be good to have? 

This is a standalone role in a team of 8 so the ability to take ownership and self-motivate is probably key.  Experience in creating policy against regulation is a must as well, given the independent nature of this role. 

The team has come from a varied background so while knowledge of the education sector would help, it isn’t essential for this role.  What is important is your ability and desire to understand the environment that we operate in, and do what you do best – create policy and communicate that out to key stakeholders.
